The Heidhofsee in the Kirchheller Heide is a nature reserve with lakes embedded in the landscape and circular hiking trails.

The area of the Heidhofsee is an ideal day trip at the extension of the Rotbach hiking route. By bike about 60 minutes - 12.1 km.

Götterswickerhamm is located on the dike promenade. Here you can go for a nice walk or see the ships passing by on the Rhine - sitting in the beer gardens or the riverside located restaurants.

Another Industrial monument is the foremost largest Gas storage tank in Europe - located in Oberhausen. Nowadays it is being used for Exhibitions, Concerts and Theatre plays.
